To the Beloved Church in God's Grace, Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. I write to you now concerning the grace of giving, a matter close to the heart of our service to the Lord and to one another. In my previous letter to the Corinthians, I emphasized the importance of sowing generously and reaping generously, as it is written, "He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully" (2 Corinthians 9:6). This principle, deeply rooted in our faith, extends beyond mere material giving; it reflects the abundance of the heart. Every man, as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7). The heart's attitude in giving is of utmost importance. Our Lord delights in those who give with joy and willingness, not out of obligation or with a heavy heart. For our giving is a reflection of the love and generosity we have received from Christ. God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8). This is the promise of our Lord: He will provide and equip us for every act of service and generosity. Our sufficiency is from God, who richly supplies our needs and empowers us to be vessels of His grace and love to others. As it is written, "He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever" (2 Corinthians 9:9). Our giving is not only a temporal act of kindness but also a sowing into the kingdom of God, with eternal implications. Our generosity becomes a testament to God's love and faithfulness, a witness to His righteousness that endures. And not only does your giving supply the needs of the saints, but it also overflows in many thanksgivings to God (2 Corinthians 9:12). Through your service, others will glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men (2 Corinthians 9:13). While they long for you and pray for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you, thanks be to God for His indescribable gift (2 Corinthians 9:14-15). Our giving is a response to the greatest gift ever given – Christ Jesus our Lord. In Him, we find the perfect example of selfless love and generosity. Therefore, beloved, let us give not only of our resources but of ourselves, joyfully and generously, as a reflection of Christ's love. May your giving be a fragrant offering, acceptable and pleasing to God. Grace be with you all. Amen. Apostle Paul
