**To the Saints at Ephesus, and to All Who Walk in the Light of Christ,** In my earlier message to you, as recorded in Ephesians 6:19 (KJV):, "And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel." Allow me, in the bonds of Christ, to expand upon this request and its significance. This plea for bold utterance is not merely a personal desire for eloquence or courage in speech. Rather, it is a heartfelt yearning for divine empowerment to proclaim the mystery of the gospel effectively. This mystery, as you well know, is the good news of Jesus Christ – His life, death, resurrection, and the salvation He offers to all, Jew and Gentile alike. The gospel is a mystery in that it was once hidden but has now been revealed through the incarnation of Christ and the testimony of the apostles. It is the profound truth of God’s redemptive plan, a plan that invites all into a relationship with Him through faith in Jesus Christ. This message is the very heart of our faith and the reason for our hope. In proclaiming this mystery, boldness is required. The gospel challenges the norms of the world, confronts sin, and calls for a radical transformation of heart and life. To speak this truth, especially in the face of opposition, requires a boldness that is not inherent to us but is a gift from God. Therefore, my request for prayers was not for my sake alone, but for the advancement of the gospel. It is a reminder that the work of the ministry relies not on human strength or wisdom, but on the power of God and the prayers of the saints. Each of us, as members of the body of Christ, has a role to play in supporting and advancing the gospel. Let this also be a reminder to you of the power and necessity of prayer. Pray for all the Lord’s people, that they may declare the gospel boldly, as they ought to speak. In your prayers, remember those who are in chains for the sake of the gospel, that they may be encouraged and continue to be faithful witnesses. As you put on the whole armor of God, stand firm in the faith, and continue in prayer, be assured that the Lord is with you, strengthening you, and using you for His glory. May the peace of God be with you, and may His Spirit empower you to speak boldly as you bear witness to the mystery of the gospel. In His Service, Paul, a Prisoner for Christ Jesus
