**The Epistle of Paul to the Faithful Concerning Work and Care for Family** **Grace and Peace** Grace and peace to you, beloved brothers and sisters in the Lord, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I give thanks to God for you always, remembering your faith and love toward all the saints. I write to you with encouragement and admonition concerning your work and care for those whom God has entrusted to you. **Laboring with Diligence** Let us not grow weary in doing good, for the Lord has called us to live disciplined and diligent lives. As it is written: *"If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat"* (2 Thessalonians 3:10). For you yourselves know how we were among you, laboring night and day so that we might not burden any of you. In all things, I showed you by example that work is honorable and glorifies God (1 Thessalonians 2:9). Work is not merely to gain earthly provision but to fulfill the will of God. As the Scripture says: *“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward”* (Colossians 3:23-24). In labor, you provide for your household, and in doing so, you demonstrate the love and care of God Himself. **Providing for Your Household** But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever (1 Timothy 5:8). For our Lord calls us to be faithful stewards of our families. Fathers, nurture your children in the training and instruction of the Lord. Mothers, care for your homes with love and reverence, as women of virtue who build their households and honor Christ. As it is written: *"The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands"* (Proverbs 14:1). Therefore, let each of you care for one another as Christ cared for His own, laying down His life in service and sacrifice. **Contentment in All Things** Let us strive not only for provision but also for godliness with contentment, for this is great gain. Do not fall into the trap of idleness or greed, which are snares of the enemy. As it is written: *“Those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction”* (1 Timothy 6:9). Rather, be content with what God has provided, trusting Him to meet your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). **An Example to the World** Finally, let your lives be a testimony to those around you. Work honestly and quietly so that you may lack nothing and be dependent on no one (1 Thessalonians 4:11-12). Let your work shine as a light before men so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16). May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ strengthen you in every good work, and may His peace guard your hearts and minds as you labor for His glory. **The Grace of God Be With You** Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, to Him be glory forever and ever. Amen. Your brother in Christ, Apostle Paul
