Nail It To The Cross Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who has called us into His glorious light and delivered us from the power of darkness. I write to you, beloved, concerning the triumph of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the unity we now share through His redemptive work. In Him, God has canceled the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. He set it aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, triumphing over them in Him (Colossians 2:14-15). Beloved, consider the weight of this truth: the law, which exposed our guilt and made us enemies of God, has been removed through the cross. The record of sin, once binding us to death, has been erased by His sacrifice. No longer are we under the tyranny of sin or subject to the accusations of the enemy, for Christ has won the victory and made a public display of His triumph. Therefore, remember that at one time, you Gentiles in the flesh, who were called the uncircumcision by what is called the circumcision, were separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in His flesh the dividing wall of hostility (Ephesians 2:11-14). Rejoice in this mystery revealed: that Jew and Gentile are no longer divided but are one in Christ Jesus. He has created one new man in place of the two, reconciling us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility (Ephesians 2:15). The barriers of ethnicity, the enmity of the law, and the hostility of sin have all been demolished in Christ. Beloved, let us live as those who have been reconciled to God and to one another. Let us walk in love, bearing with one another in humility and grace. For in His death, He has secured for us a unity that reflects the eternal purposes of God: to bring all things together in Christ, both things in heaven and things on earth. To Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Your brother in Christ, Apostle Paul
