### **“Paul’s Message to the Jew Who Rests in the Law”** *By Paul, an Apostle of Jesus Christ* My brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh, I stand before you as one who once believed as you do. I was raised in the Law, circumcised on the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews. Concerning the Law, I was a Pharisee. Concerning zeal, I persecuted those who followed Jesus. Concerning righteousness in the Law, I was blameless. But I must tell you the truth: **I was blind.** ### **1. The Righteousness of the Law Is Not Enough** You rest in the Law. You boast in circumcision. You call yourself a teacher of babes, confident that you are a guide to the blind. You trust in the promises given to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, believing that through Moses, we have been given the oracles of God. And yes, my brothers, the Law is good. The promises are true. But hear what is also written: *"There is none righteous, no, not one. There is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God."* (Romans 3:10-11) *"By the works of the Law, no flesh will be justified in His sight, for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin."* (Romans 3:20) The Law is holy, but **it cannot save.** The Law is righteous, but **it condemns.** Circumcision is a sign, but **it is only outward—what matters is the circumcision of the heart!** ### **2. The Messiah Has Already Come** You wait for the Messiah. You long for the redemption of Israel. But, my brethren, **He has already come!** Moses wrote of Him: *"The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your brothers. You must listen to Him."* (Deuteronomy 18:15) The prophet Isaiah spoke of Him: *"He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes, we are healed."* (Isaiah 53:5) Who is this Servant of the LORD? Who is this Messiah who would suffer and yet be exalted? **It is Jesus of Nazareth!** - He healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, and raised the dead. - He fulfilled the Scriptures, even riding into Jerusalem on a donkey, just as Zechariah prophesied. - He was rejected by our people, condemned by the leaders, and crucified under Roman authority. - But on the third day, **God raised Him from the dead!** ### **3. Salvation Comes Only Through Faith in Him** My brothers, if righteousness comes through the Law, then Messiah died for nothing. But He did not die in vain—**He died to fulfill what the Law could not do!** - **The blood of bulls and goats cannot take away sin (Hebrews 10:4).** - **Circumcision of the flesh does not justify a man (Romans 2:28-29).** - **True righteousness is by faith, as our father Abraham believed, and it was counted to him as righteousness (Genesis 15:6).** You say, *"But we are children of Abraham!"* Yes, but what did John the Baptist say? *"Do not say, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you, God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones!"* (Matthew 3:9) **Being a physical son of Abraham does not save you—only faith in the Messiah does.** ### **4. What Will You Do?** My heart’s desire and prayer for Israel is that you may be saved (Romans 10:1). But you must believe: *"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."* (Romans 10:9) Moses led our fathers out of Egypt, but only Joshua (Yeshua) led them into the Promised Land. The Law was given through Moses, but **grace and truth came through Jesus Christ!** Oh, my brothers, do not harden your hearts as our fathers did in the wilderness. **The Messiah has come. His name is Jesus. He is calling you today.** **Will you believe? Will you come to Him for salvation?**
