Dear Brothers and Sisters, I am writing to you to share a message on prayer from my letter to Titus. Let us turn our attention to Titus 3:1-2 (KJV): "Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men." In these verses, I emphasize the importance of our conduct and how it relates to prayer: 1. **Respect for Authorities:** We are reminded to be subject to those in authority and to obey governing authorities and magistrates. Our conduct in society should reflect respect for those in positions of leadership and authority. 2. **Readiness for Good Works:** We are encouraged to be ready for every good work. This readiness includes a willingness to serve and make a positive impact in our communities and society. 3. **Gentleness and Meekness:** We are instructed to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, and to be gentle, showing all meekness to all people. Our interactions with others should be characterized by gentleness and humility. While this passage doesn't explicitly mention prayer, it highlights the qualities and attitudes that should accompany our prayers. As we pray, we should also seek God's guidance and empowerment to live out these principles in our daily lives. Prayer is not just a solitary act but should lead to a transformation in our behavior and interactions with others. Our conduct should align with the values and teachings of Christ as we seek to be agents of His love and grace in the world. I encourage you to consider how your prayers can lead to a life that is respectful, ready for good works, gentle, and meek. Let your prayers influence your actions, so that you may shine as lights in the world, reflecting the character of our Lord Jesus Christ. In His grace and love, Apostle Paul
