Dear Brothers and Sisters, I am writing to you to share a message on prayer from my second letter to the Thessalonians. Let us turn our attention to 2 Thessalonians 3:1-3 (KJV): "Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil." In these verses, I emphasize the importance of prayer in the context of our ministry and the challenges we face: 1. **Prayer for the Spread of the Word:** I urge you to pray for us, the ministers of the Gospel, that the word of the Lord may have free course and be glorified. Your prayers can empower the proclamation of God's Word and its impact on the lives of those who hear it. 2. **Protection from Opposition:** I request prayer for our deliverance from unreasonable and wicked men who oppose the message of faith. It acknowledges that ministry often faces challenges and opposition, but prayer can be a shield and protection. 3. **God's Faithfulness:** Amidst the uncertainties and difficulties, we hold fast to the faithfulness of the Lord. He is the One who establishes and keeps us from evil. Trust in His faithfulness, even when circumstances seem daunting. This passage underscores the idea that prayer is not only a personal practice but a communal and supportive one. Your prayers for those engaged in ministry can make a significant difference in the effectiveness of their work. As you pray, remember the faithfulness of the Lord. He is the One who strengthens, establishes, and protects His people. Trust in His guidance and provision as you intercede for others and face the challenges of life. May your prayers be a source of empowerment and protection, and may the Word of the Lord continue to advance and be glorified through your faithful prayers. In His grace and strength, Apostle Paul
