Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. Living in the **"already"** means living in the light of what Christ has accomplished—His love, grace, and redemption—and reflecting that in our lives by loving God and loving others. This is at the very heart of Jesus' teaching and the New Covenant. ### **Love God First** Jesus emphasized that loving God is the greatest commandment: > **“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment.”** (**Matthew 22:37-38**) Loving God means: - Devoting yourself to Him in worship and obedience. - Keeping His commandments out of gratitude, not obligation (John 14:15). - Seeking Him daily in prayer, Scripture, and fellowship. --- ### **Love One Another** The second greatest commandment follows: > **“And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”** (**Matthew 22:39-40**) Jesus made it even clearer in John 13:34-35: > **“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”** **Loving others means:** - Extending kindness, forgiveness, and patience. - Caring for the needs of the poor, the lonely, and the marginalized. - Putting others before yourself (Philippians 2:3-4). - Loving even your enemies (Matthew 5:44). --- ### **Why Love is Central** - **God is Love:** To live in love is to live in God’s nature (1 John 4:8). - **It fulfills the Law:** > **“Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”** (**Romans 13:10**) - **It’s eternal:** Faith, Hope, and love remain, but love is the greatest (1 Corinthians 13:13). --- ### **Living in Love in the Already** While we wait for the fulfillment of the "not yet,"(Rapture) we embody Christ’s kingdom now by living as His representatives. Loving God and loving others demonstrates the transformative power of His grace and points others to Him. > **"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God."** (**1 John 4:7**) Apostle Paul
